Johnny Dennis

Jack Dennis (Johnny's father) founded Consolidated Tires Inc in 1960. CTI became the largest retail passenger tire retreader in SC throughout the 60's and 70's. CTI's subsidiary, Wholesale Tire Distributors, served the wholesale tire market throughout the 60's and 70's

Johnny began his career with CTI in 1974 working in the retread, wholesale, and retail divisions over the next 6 years. In 1976 CTI became affiliated with Michelin as their primary supplier. Johnny began CTI's truck tire sales and service division after becoming President in 1980.

CTI continued to grow its passenger tire business by adding auto service in 1981. CTI grew its truck tire business throughout the 80's, buying a Bandag franchise in 1988. During the 90's CTI's retail passenger and commercial truck tire divisions grew into the largest Michelin dealer in SC. From '88 thru '98 CTI became the largest Bandag truck tire retreader in SC.

CTI became the second Michelin Truck Tire Retreader in the U.S. in 1998. CTI continued growth in its retail passenger and light truck tire division adding Michelin's BF Goodrich and Uniroyal brands during the late 1990's CTI grew its auto service to include under the hood services as well as under the car services in 1995.

From 1995 to 2010 CTI opened satellite tire and service centers in Spartanburg, Columbia, Charleston, Asheville and Toccoa, in addition to its locations in Greenville. CTI was sold in 2010. Seeking to refocus energies on individual relationships, etc.

Johnny purchased Tire Exchange of the Carolina's in 2014.

Jason Dennis

After graduating from the University of South Carolina in 2002, Jason began managing CTI's North Charleston commercial location. In 2005 he returned home to pursue other entrepreneurial endeavors. After years away, Jason is enthusiastic about returning to the family tire business he grew up in. Under his first year of leadership, Tire Exchange of the Carolinas received the Tire Pros Five Diamond Dealer award.

Rick Gillespie

Rick began working for CTI in 1981, first in the retail division and then moving to the retread division. In 1997 Rick came to work at the Tire Exchange under the former owners, Keith Honeycutt and Vern Smith. Now, reunited with the Dennis family, Rick shares his more than thirty years of experience with his loyal customers.
